CA Multiple Choice Questions Exam Pattern – Objective Papers (MCQs) in ICAI Exams. In the previous articles, we have given changes in CA exams from May 2019  and CA IPCC & Intermediate and CA Final MCQ sample papers  for May 2019 exams. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has already announced CA exams time table for May 2019. Due to elections, this time CA Final and CA IPCC & Intermedidate exams will be conducted from May 27th and 28th respectively. We already knew that from May 2019 attempt, ICAI has introduced MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions) in some subjects both in CA Intermediate, IPCC and CA Final level. So let’s check what are those subjects, exam pattern (परीक्षा पैटर्न) and how to write OMR answer sheet.

CA Multiple Choice Questions Exam Pattern

The Announcement relating to pattern of assessment (CA Objective Exam) in select subjects from 2019 would be partially MCQ based from May, 2019 Examination onwards.  The new question paper pattern of the theoretical papers at CA Intermediate and CA Final levels would be 30% objective and 70% descriptive under both Old and New Schemes. List of Objective Papers in ICAI Exams

The ICAI assessment would be made partially objective in the below mentioned select papers at the CA Intermediate/IPCC and CA Final level with effect from May, 2019 Examination under the ICAI’s new and old scheme of education and training.

  • Paper 2 – Corporate & Other Laws
  • Paper 4 – Taxation
  • Paper 6 – Auditing & Assurance
  • Paper 7 – Information Technology & Strategic Management

  • Paper 2 – Corporate & Other Laws

CA Multiple Choice Questions Exam Pattern

There will be no negative marking for wrong answers

  • In each of the above papers, the weightage for objective type questions would be 30%.
  • The remaining questions i.e., 70% of the paper would be as per the present pattern of assessment.
  • The objective type questions will be for 30 Marks in each 100 marks paper.
  • They would be in the nature of multiple choice questions (MCQs) carrying 1 or 2 marks.
  • Each Multiple Choice Questions will have 4 options, out of which 1 option would be the correct answer. The 1 mark MCQs would be in the range of 10 to 16 MCQs; the 2 mark MCQs would be in the range of 7 to 10 MCQs.
  • The Multiple Choice Questions will be compulsory and there would be no internal or external choice in them.
  • The MCQs may be either knowledge-based or application-based. The skill level would be either “knowledge and comprehension” or “application and analysis”.
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • No reasoning is required for answers to Multiple Choice Questions.
